Mondolfo and Marotta
the blue and gold municipal banner are the colors of art in Mondolfo and Marotta, landscapes and characters set in rich golden ornaments, with the intense blue of the skies and the sea.
The Castle, with its double curtain wall, encloses the highest part of the hill, spanning the area with a balcony overlooking the sea.
From the central square, dominated by the Town Hall, the various streets lead you to places full of art, history and memory:

From the central square, dominated by the Town Hall, the various streets lead you to places full of art, history and memory:
- The Monumental complex of S. Agostino
- The distinguished Collegiate Church of S. Giustina
- Il Bastione S. Anna - The museums, the parks, the spheristerio
- Early medieval abbey of San Gervasio
- Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Grotte
Start with the famous Golden Bronzes of Pergola, then continue to Mondavio and visit the wax museum and the fortress courtyard with faithful reconstructions of medieval war machines, catapults and ram heads, or immerse yourself in a magical experience by passing through the gates of Gradara during The Dragon Castle event: the festival dedicated to magic and Celtic music, where goblins and warriors will face off with swords, crossbows and powerful magic.
Just 30 minutes from Marotta you can reach the archaeological excavations of Castelleone di Suasa, where a splendid Roman amphitheater has been brought to light, a summer setting for theatrical performances which, given by a torchlight, will give you unforgettable evenings (for info www.consorziosuasa.it).
They are all historic villages with suggestive charm, where numerous summer events take place and where you can find culture and entertainment just a stone's throw from the sea.
Mondavio, a medieval jewel
Despite the small village, Mondavio collects many places of interest within its medieval walls, including, in addition to the Rocca and the armory, the Apollo theater of eighteenth-century origin and recently renovated, the Civic Museum, the Capuchin monastery, the Church and the Cloister of San Francesco.
A sea of events in Pergola
During the summer season, in August, the Medieval Evening is held, a historical re-enactment that involves the whole country with fighting, parades and of course medieval taverns. Also, you can participate in the Green Night, on August 16th, during which you can admire the shooting stars together from an extraordinary natural observatory. For those who happen to be in Pergola in the autumn, do not miss the fine White Truffle Fair held in October.
Gradara and its castle
A visit, perhaps guided, to Gradara Castle is a must, not only to admire its rooms, furnishings and frescoes but to follow the famous love story of Paolo and Francesca winding through the different rooms of the Castle. In addition, these become the scene of numerous events throughout the year, including the best known: "Siege of the Castle", "Christmas Castle", "Gradara d’Amare" and the incredible Zombie Walk.
